About Dr. Clarke
Dr. Lon Clarke is an American Board Certified General and Cosmetic Dentist with vast experience in Dental Implants. He is an active member of the Barbados Dental Association, American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Osseo integration and the International Congress of Oral Implantologist.
In 1991, he was one of the first dentists to place dental implants in the English-speaking Caribbean and was responsible for training numerous dentists regionally. He regularly attends international conferences to keep updated in his field and provide cutting-edge dental care in Barbados with the latest procedures, using the most advanced technology in his clinic.
He graduated with honors in 1992 from Lincoln University, Pennsylvania. He then studied dentistry at the prestigious Fairleigh Dickson School of Dentistry in New Jersey and graduated in 1996. After completing his studies in the United States, Dr. Clarke participated in an internship at the University Hospital of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada. There he developed his surgical skill before briefly entering private practice in Canada. It wasn’t long, however, until Dr. Clarke decided it was time to return home to Barbados and, in 1998, he did just that. Today, Dr. Clarke is a premier cosmetic dentist operating out of Barbados and offering the latest treatments to patients throughout the Caribbean and internationally.
Dr. Clarke is the father of four children Damani, Alana, Jason and Christian and his hobbies include reading, mountain biking, triathlon and swimming. He represented Barbados in competitive swimming at the Commonwealth Games, Pan American Games and the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
